You create your social media posts for the various networks via the Planner or the Post-Plan in Orchestrate. To do this, click on the Create Post Set. In the Planner, you can also right-click on a gap in the calendar to open the post creation, in the Post Plan simply click on an empty area in the calendar.
The post creation is divided into several areas, which support you in creating your posts. For more efficiency, you can arrange the networks and post types by drag and drop.
💡 Please note that this is the new post creation and not all functions are available that our old post creation offers. Therefore, you can still call up the old post creation via the drop-down menu.
Header
In the header, you can set the facelift internal title of the post. This will be displayed in the calendar view. Also, you set the date and time for publication here. The publication date must be at least 15 minutes and up to 12 months in the future. You can use the suggested time frames or enter the time manually in the format hh:mm. If you want to post directly, leave the field blank.
Content
In the first section, you create the content of your post. To do so, select the tab for the corresponding network and create content for one or more networks.
Afterward, select the type of post (e.g. photo or status post) and then add the corresponding content. Then, let your creativity run free and write an appropriate text for your post. You also have the option of using emojis here or being inspired by Facelift AI.
If you want to add a file, e.g. a picture, click on the corresponding button. Your media library will open. Here you can select the file or upload it directly. You also have the option of editing pictures here.
Alternatively, you can also insert files by dragging and dropping them from your device.
You'll receive an immediate warning if the file doesn't align with the relevant network rules.
A preview is displayed to the right of the text field. You can see what the post will look like in the selected network.
💡 In the Knowledge Base you will find an article for each network showing the specifics.
Publication
Decide here on which profiles of the network the post should be published. You can select one or more profiles. You can also define additional settings depending on the network.
Relations
In the section Relations you can add optional, facelift-internal attributes to the post:
Tags: Add one or more tags to the post. The tags are displayed in the post preview in the Planner. Here you also have the option of filtering by tags.
💡We make suggestions for you under the Recommended Tags, which are based on your individual (past) usage data.
Post owner: Select a Facelift team member here who should be responsible for the post
Complete Post Creation
You have various options to complete the post creation. The availability of the options depends on your permissions.
Save
The post will be saved as a draft and visible to your team members and you in the Planner. It will not be published in this status.
Schedule / Publish directly
Depending on whether you have specified a publication date, you can now schedule the post for the future or publish it directly. It will then be automatically sent to the selected networks at the selected time and published.
Get approval
Get approval from one or more team members before the post is published. The release strategies are defined by your Company Admin. Select one of the approval strategies, and the process starts. You can check the status in the approval overview.
💡If you want to edit a post that already has the status Planned, you have to pause the publication first. After editing, you can reschedule the post.
Briefing
You can use the briefing function to add additional information to the post in the form of text and files from the media library. The briefing is only available internally and can be accessed by you and your team members by opening the post via the post plan.
Use the briefing to store contextual information about your post. This can be used, for example, to pass on information from the creative team to the social media team.
