If you see a post with the status Pending in your post calendar, it will be an Instagram post. Such posts have been scheduled as Mobile-App Publishing and are waiting to be published by you or a team member via the Facelift app.
Regardless of whether you may have accidentally scheduled the post as Mobile-App Publishing or whether it should be published via the app manually, there is a quick solution to your problem.
The post shouldn't be published via the app
If you have accidentally scheduled the post as Mobile-App Publishing, you can duplicate it and adjust the publication type, i.e. select Direct Publishing instead of Mobile-App Publishing. Then schedule it again.
You cannot delete the old post with the status Pending from the post plan. However, it will not be published automatically.
The post is correctly scheduled via Mobile-App Publishing
If you have intentionally scheduled the post as Mobile-App Publishing, e.g. because it is an Instagram story, the status of the post is Pending. It receives this status at the scheduled time of publication.
For the post to be published and then receive the status Successful, you must publish it in a few steps via the Facelift App. Here we explain exactly how this works.
