Activity Log

Keep track of changes, decisions, and conversations in one place.

Written by Lena Semmler

When several people work on the same content, it can be difficult to keep track of what happened along the way. Who changed the publishing date? What was updated after the last review? Why was a post rejected?

The Activity Log gives you a clear history of your content, showing what happened, who was involved, and when. This makes it easier to follow progress, understand previous decisions, and collaborate with your team.

Where to find the Activity Log

The Activity Log is available in the detail view of Post-Sets, Frames, Contents, Stories and Tasks directly in the right-hand sidebar.

It provides three views:

  • All Activity: Combines changes, approval decisions, publishing activities, and conversations in one timeline.

  • Updates: Shows changes and activities without chat messages, making it easier to focus on what happened to your content.

  • Chat: A dedicated space for discussions, questions, and feedback.

Activities are displayed chronologically, with the latest events first and grouped by date. Each entry shows who performed an action and when it happened.

See what changed and compare versions

The Activity Log records changes to your content, including text edits, media replacements, scheduling adjustments, status changes, and updates to properties such as tags or assignments.

For many changes, you can immediately see the previous and updated values. For example, if someone reschedules a post from 09:00 to 11:30, both times appear directly in the timeline.

Some changes offer more detailed comparisons:

Text changes

When someone edits a text, the Activity Log highlights the differences between the previous and updated versions:

  • Red: Removed or replaced text.

  • Green: Updated text.

  • Blue: Newly added text.

Longer text previews are shortened to keep the timeline readable. Select Show all to expand them or View diff to open a detailed comparison.

Media changes

When an image is replaced, the previous and new versions are shown as small previews. Select View diff to compare both images side by side.

This is particularly useful when reviewing feedback or checking what changed between different revisions.

Follow approvals and publishing activities

Approval decisions are documented directly in the timeline, so you can see when an approval was requested, who approved or rejected content, and what feedback was provided.

For Post-Sets, the Activity Log additionally shows important publishing activities, such as scheduling changes, successful publications, and publishing failures. If a publication fails, the log can display the reason for the failure and provide actions such as View details, Reconnect profile, or Retry, depending on the issue. This helps you understand what happened and take action directly.

Discuss changes with your team

The Activity Log also brings conversations closer to the content they relate to.

In All Activity, comments appear alongside changes and decisions, helping you understand the context behind an update.

For longer discussions, switch to the Chat tab. Here you can write comments, mention colleagues using @mentions, and reply to specific messages in threads.

This keeps feedback and discussions connected to the content, even when several team members are involved.

Keep everyone on the same page

Whether you're catching up after a few days away, checking what changed after an approval, or investigating a publishing issue, the Activity Log gives you the information you need without having to ask colleagues or search through conversations.

With changes, decisions, and discussions documented in one place, your team has a shared history of how content develops from planning to publication.
