Using the new Engage filters
The redesigned Engage filter panel helps you narrow down feed, message and conversation content without losing context. Instead of opening separately on the right side of the screen, the panel now opens directly below the filter icon. This makes it clearer which control opens the filter options.
The filter panel opens below the filter icon and can be used while the feed and conversation context remain visible.
Open and use the filter panel
In Engage, open the feed, messages, conversations or Custom Inbox view you want to filter.
Select the filter icon in the feed toolbar.
Use the Filters panel that opens directly below the icon.
Depending on your current view and layout, the panel can appear in a compact layout or a wider layout.
Resize and move the panel
You can adjust the filter panel to fit your work area:
Resize the panel between a compact layout and a wider layout when you want to see fewer or more filter options at once.
Drag and move the panel to a convenient position so the relevant feed, message or conversation content remains visible.
The wider layout shows more filter groups at the same time, including saving options for Custom Inboxes.
Apply filters
Select the filter options you need from the available groups. The filter groups shown in the panel include:
Status
Networks and Profiles
Content Types
Date Range
Owner
Mentions
Promoted Content
Sentiment
Internal Indicators
Ratings
Choose the options that match the content you want to review. For example, you can combine status, network, content type, date range or sentiment filters to narrow down the list.
Remove filters
To remove an individual selection, select the × next to that selection.
To remove all current selections, select Clear all.
Save filters as a Custom Inbox
If you often reuse the same filter combination, save it as a Custom Inbox directly from the filter panel:
In the wider layout, select Save as Custom Inbox.
In the compact layout, select + Inbox.
Saved inboxes appear under Custom Inboxes in the left sidebar.
The compact layout uses + Inbox to save the current filter combination as a Custom Inbox.
Close the panel
When you are finished, select Done. You can also close the panel by clicking anywhere outside it.
