Frames represent periods of time that matter in your communication strategy. Think of campaign durations, event weeks, or product release phases. Frames give structure to your planning and help align all activities during a specific time window.
Content refers to the individual pieces of communication. These are your posts, emails, press releases, or articles, each tied to a specific point in time. Content forms the foundation of your communication efforts.
💡 Frames and Content types need to be defined by Company Admins in the settings.
Setting up Frames and Content
The types for Frames and Content need to be defined by the Company admin. They can access it in the settings area for Orchestrate or by clicking this link.
After opening the settings area, click Add Content Type in the top right corner. Choose whether you want to create a Frame or a Content type, then define a name and set up the fields. Everything is fully customizable, allowing you to tailor it to fit your team's workflow and specific needs. Once you're done, click Create New Schema. Your new type will then be available in Content, Frames, and the Calendar.
How to use them
You can create Frames or Content objects in two ways within Orchestrate.
The first option is to navigate directly to Frames or Content, depending on what you want to create. Click Create Frame or Create Content, then choose from the available formats set up by your Company Admin. If a specific schema is missing, contact them and request that it be added.
The second option is to use the Calendar view in Orchestrate. Click the small arrow next to Create Post Set to open the dropdown menu. From there, select whether you want to create a Frame or a Content object. Set to open the dropdown. Choose if you want to create a Content or a Frame.
In the next step, select the appropriate schema and fill in all relevant information. You can also create tasks linked to the content or frame and assign them to the responsible person. Set a due date, define the status, and choose an owner for the item. As work progresses, remember to update the status accordingly. Once the content or frame is released, change the status to Published so it appears correctly in the calendar.
