You can analyze more in-depth data by connecting your owned channels to YouTube Analytics. You'll see metrics and dashboards in the tool that have a little key sign on them. These metrics can be used with Analytics connected pages only. If you have access to the admin permissions you just need to follow the below steps:
Find the channel you wish to connect in the Profiles section
Click on the 3 dots on the right-hand side of the profile card
Click Connect YouTube Analytics
You'll be asked to log in to the page you with the admin rights
These steps can also be followed to update the Analytics connection. Simply click on the 3 dots then select Update YouTube Analytics.
Connecting channels to YouTube Analytics via an external link:
If you need to connect a channel to YouTube Analytics but don't directly have the admin rights you can use an external link to ask the admin to connect the channel. They don't have to be a user in Facelift Data Studio to do this. Again, you just need to find the channel you wish to connect and click on the 3 dots on the right side then click "Connect YouTube Analytics". If you then click "Get link" on the pop-up window, you'll see a short link that you can send to the admin. The admin will simply need to follow the same steps as described above after clicking on the link. Please note that the link expires in 7 days.
