When creating a link post for Facebook or LinkedIn, it is possible that a so-called scrape error is displayed in red in the post creation.

💡 The post will still be published. It just cannot be guaranteed that all data can be read and played out correctly.

This error only indicates that certain metadata of the link cannot be read correctly because they were not created or configured correctly in the source code of the target website.

Check and fix Scrape Error

You can scrape the link and preview the post's actual playout before publishing. Use the Sharing Debugger for Facebook and the Post Inspector for LinkedIn.

If you want to fix the scrape error for this link, you should contact your responsible IT department, as they can adjust the link metadata if your organisation owns it.
