Standard Task Views

Create a custom Task View based on filters.

Written by Lena Semmler

A Standard Task View is a saved view of tasks. You define the filters that matter to you, and the view automatically shows tasks matching those filters.

Standard Task Views do not change who can access a task.

Create a Standard Task View

In Team Tasks, create a new Task View and select Standard View. Enter a name and choose the filters you want to apply, for example:

  • Teams, Assignees, Priority, Frames, Stories, Content, Tags etc.

Filters already active in the sidebar are included when you create the view. Select Save to create the view.

Your saved view also shows a summary of its active filters, making it easier to understand which tasks belong to it.

Control who can see the view

You can assign the Standard Task View itself to selected teams. This determines who can open the saved view. It does not give those teams access to the tasks inside it and does not change any task's access settings.

How task visibility works

A Standard Task View simply shows tasks that:

  1. match its filters, and

  2. the current user is allowed to access.

Tasks keep their own access settings and can continue to appear elsewhere, for example in:

  • other Task Views

  • My Tasks

  • related Content, Frames or Stories

  • other areas where the task appears

Restricted tasks can therefore match the filters of a Standard Task View while still only being visible to users who have access to them.

💡Think of a Standard Task View as a saved filter. It controls which tasks are shown. Task Access controls who is allowed to see each task. For a workspace where the board itself and its tasks are restricted to specific teams, use a Restricted Board instead.
